It is unclear where to start
I do an IT review: I assess systems, vendors and priorities.
Result: a short list of decisions for the board.
The system runs too slowly
I check what slows down the ERP system, the manufacturing execution system (MES) or the databases running on the company's servers. I know Dynamics AX 2012 and SQL Server best. I have improved ERP performance this way for three companies. I do not give their names, because I am bound by confidentiality.
Result: a report presenting the findings and recommendations. On request, I can also implement all or some of the agreed changes and train the IT team.

A new system or an acquisition
When an ERP, warehouse management (WMS) or MES system is chosen and implemented, I help the company assess whether the vendor is doing what was agreed and whether people are prepared to work in the new system. After an acquisition I help connect the systems of the two organisations. On large implementations I act as an adviser; the project manager remains responsible for leading the overall project. I took part in ERP implementations, led a WMS implementation and oversaw the MES implementation at three locations. I led one post-acquisition IT integration as project manager and co-led another with a project manager from Denmark.
Result: we agree the scope of my support and what I will deliver before the engagement starts, depending on whether it concerns system selection, implementation or post-acquisition integration.

People call IT with every matter
I help build a group of key users: people from the business who know the system in their department, teach others and report the changes that are needed. I ran such an organisation for 12 years in an international group.
Every department has different numbers
I check where data in the systems is inconsistent and why: in customer records, material records, price lists. I propose how to put it in order and who should be responsible for which data. Only after that is it worth turning to reports.
Someone retypes data by hand every day
I build applications and automations that do this for people. I work in Power Apps and Power Automate and with software robots (RPA).
Microsoft 365 and first steps with AI
I help choose uses of Microsoft 365 for teamwork and business processes. I offer workshops on the practical use of AI and Microsoft 365, help set simple rules for using AI and plan a first pilot that can be evaluated. As IT Director, I streamlined Microsoft 365 licensing.
How we start
You do not need a fully defined project. A brief description of what is getting in the way is enough.
- A free initial conversation lasting up to an hour, focused on the problem that is causing you the most difficulty. If I think you need a different specialist, I will tell you directly.
- A proposal setting out the scope of work, what I will deliver and the price. You know the cost before work begins.
- Work starts once you accept the proposal.
I work on a project basis, without ongoing support subscriptions. Depending on the engagement, I complete the agreed scope or stage, or hand the work over to someone designated by the client.
Once you submit the form, I will reply within one working day and suggest a time to talk.
